What is UCS-2?

UCS-2 is the same as UTF-16 and refers to a representation of Unicode characters. Unicode SMS text messages are sent using UCS-2 notation with each character being represented by 2 bytes.
For example, the letter A is represented by the hexadecimal code unit 0041 and the Chinese character 中 is represented by 4E2D. My-Cool-SMS offers a JSON API function to transform any Unicode character into UCS-2 notation.
